Quality Control of The Device

As part of the tasks described in work package 3 (WP3) executed at the Centre of Biomaterials and Tissue Engineering (CBIT) at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (UPV), the devices, once manufactured, need to undergo quality control, which is carried out under a stereoscopic microscope. During this quality control, we check that the fibers are correctly aligned in a single plane and that they are properly anchored to the membrane.

In addition, under the stereoscopic microscope we also make sure that the devices are the correct size for the different experiments (in vitro or in vivo) performed by the other research groups that are part of RISEUP consortium.

Below you can see images of Francisco Navarro Páez (PhD student) performing this quality control.
